ReStore Warehouse Work Days
Saturdays - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Great for groups or individual volunteers! Typical projects include organizing and tidying the storefront or warehouse; or assisting with special donation pick ups. ReStore represents one of our most important sources of financial support, and as a provider of both sustainable and affordable building material, the work done here is absolutely crucial to our mission on multiple levels.
Things to bring with you: Please bring your own work gloves, if you prefer them. ReStore is not climate controlled and some of our Work Day projects are outside, so please dress accordingly. Make sure that your footwear is suitable for a warehouse and is sturdy (no sandals, flip-flops or slip-on shoes).
What we provide: We provide all necessary tools, along with gloves, protective eyewear and water.

Build Site Construction Work
Tuesday through Saturday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Volunteer work available for groups and individual volunteers - All skill levels welcome! As you know, we cannot build houses without volunteers who provide over 75% of the labor associated with house building (trades are brought in for concrete work, plumbing, electrical and HVAC). Projects may vary and will depend on where we are in our construction schedule on the date of your scheduled shift. We appreciate your flexibility.
Lunch break is one hour, typically at 11:00 a.m. Habitat for Humanity does not provide lunch. You will need to make your own arrangements. We do have a cooler if you decide to pack a lunch.
Things to bring with you: Please bring your own work gloves if you have them. If you have your favorite tool belt or hammer feel free to bring that along, but do NOT bring your own power tools. Wear loose-fitting light weight clothes for spring, summer, fall because it gets hot. (For winter, bring layered clothing.) Make sure that your footwear is suitable for a construction site and is sturdy (no sandals, flip-flops or slip-on shoes). Sunscreen & hats!!
What we provide: We provide all needed tools (hand and power), along with protective eyewear, sunscreen, water and Gatorade.
Age requirements: In order to work on the Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County construction site, you must be at least 16 years of age. If you are under the age of 16 you will not be permitted on the worksite. Youth groups with members younger than 16 need to make prior arrangements with our affiliate so that we can provide alternate activities (shed builds, etc.).

It is by design that we depend heavily on a Volunteer Staff to accomplish our goals. We believe that this is the best way to meet our mission objective of "bringing people together to build homes, community and hope."
Shifts run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m to 4:30 p.m. for volunteers interested in assisting in our Affiliate Office on a regular basis.
Volunteers should expect typical administrative assignments, such as filing, stuffing envelopes, making copies, logging incoming mail and answering the main phone line.
The best part? You can support our hardworking Construction Build Teams from the comfort of a climate controlled office!!
Shifts run Wednesday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for volunteers interested in assisting at the ReStore on a regular basis.
